'Pathway Search Results'

Selection criteria for significant gene list :
Significant genes are selected with a p value cut-off of 0.1. The resultant list was then sorted in a descending order of fold change value. From the sorted list, the top 100 genes were selected for pathway/network. If the gene list is less than 100, the entire gene list was taken for pathway/network analysis.

  Essential hypertension BPH model

GEO Description :
Expression profiling of adrenal glands from blood pressure high (BPH) males at the prehypertensive stage. BPH males examined at 5 weeks of age. Results compared to gene expression in SHR rat model, and provides insight into mechanisms of hypertension shared across species.
Organism : Mus musculus
GEO-ID : GDS1011

Compared Group :
hypotension Vs hypertension

  Essential hypertension SHR model

GEO Description :
Comparison of adrenal gland from spontaneously hypertensive (SHR) males at 4 weeks of age, a prehypertensive stage, and normotensive Wistar-Kyoto. Results compared to gene expression in hypertensive BPH mouse model, and provides insight into mechanisms of hypertension shared across species.
Organism : Rattus norvegicus
GEO-ID : GDS1464

Compared Group :
hypertensive Vs normotensive

Coronary smooth muscle cell response to beta-1 receptor blockers metoprolol and nebivolol

GEO Description :
Expression profiling of coronary smooth muscle cells treated with metoprolol or nebivolol. Metoprolol and nebivolol are beta 1-receptor blockers. In a study of 155 patients with hypertension, adverse effects of metoprolol were higher than nebivolol (Uhlir et al. 1991).
Organism : Homo sapiens

Angiotensin II type 1 receptor antagonist effect on brain microvessels of hypertensive animals

GEO Description :
Analysis of brain microvessels from hypertensive SHR males treated with candesartan, an angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1) antagonist, daily for 4 weeks. Blockade of angiotensin II AT1 receptors in cerebral microvessels protects against brain ischemia and inflammation.
Organism : Rattus norvegicus
GEO-ID : GDS2070

Left ventricular hypertrophy in spontaneously hypertensive model: time course

GEO Description :
Analysis of progressive left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in spontaneously hypertensive (SHR) males at 12, 16, and 20 months of age. LVH impairs diastolic relaxation, which decreases cardiac output and leads to heart failure (HF). Provides insight into pathogenesis of hypertrophy and LV remodeling.
Organism : Rattus norvegicus
GEO-ID : GDS1264

Renin-angiotensin system inhibition effect on cerebral capillaries

GEO Description :
Examination of cerebral capillaries in stroke-prone spontaneously hypertensives (SHRSP) treated with either an angiotensin II receptor (AT1R) antagonist or an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Renin-angiotensin system inhibition reduces stroke in SHRSP.
